We worked on this project with Wall Creative. Wall had already designed a layout for an online catalogue, and was working separately on various Flash components for other sections of the site. Our brief was as follows:

• Code the front end in standards-compliant HTML and CSS
• Build a dynamic website to display a database of catalogue images
• Provide Castle Gibson with simple tools to upload and configure the display of their images
• Create a contact form for web enquiries relating to individual items

Once the initial build was under way, and on further consultation with Wall Creative, we expanded the brief and built in additional functionality:

• A shopping cart system that enabled browsers to indicate interest in multiple items
• Cookies set to remember a visitor's selections even if they left the site and returned later
